barb says:
Men are like a fine wine. They start out as
grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the shit out of
them until they turn into something
acceptable to have dinner with.

sacred says:
For all those men who say,
"Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free."
Here's an update for you.....
Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage.
Why?
Because women realize its not worth buying an entire Pig,....
Just to get a little sausage.
can you tell these two are from the same family? thanks for the laughs guys...

the BigMan and i went to a party at annie liebowitz studio last night in manhattan, and what a big bollocky bore it was...
madam leibowitz was not even in attendance. what is the point of making such a big deal on the invite that the party is at annies place and then she doesn't even show? i love her work and while i did not expect to meet her, i did at least hope to see her in person.
the space itself was incredible, a huge warehouse with skylights, i cannot even fathom the rent on that in nyc... it was a real fashionista scene, lots of ridiculously trendy outfits and painful looking shoes...mister was tired and stayed home and the BigMan's idea of circulating at a party consists of finding the nearest available chair and resting his bigness, so i was flying solo. usually when thrown into a party situation where i don't know anyone i dive right in and start chatting, but not last night. people were only speaking to people they already knew, and even then they were all looking over each others shoulders to see if anyone more "interesting" or "important" was behind them. i tried my last resort at amusing myself, which is eavesdropping, but the conversations were so dull and repetitive i lost interest and i suddenly remembered why i abandoned work in the fashion industry. i kept myself distracted with endlessly refilled glasses of champagne while i wandered aimlessly amongst the "important" people. the champagne waiter had me clocked and hit me on every lap he made around the room, he said i looked like i needed to be rescued. i smiled, laughed, and held out my glass.
the whole event was only 2 hours, thank god, and then the BigMan and i went to the diner, we had a lovely chat and i topped off my too many glasses of champagne with a plate of onion rings. the combination made for some interesting burps on the car ride home.
